- How long does it take to get a carer?
Within 2-3 weeks of your application being submitted. - How much tax relief can I get?
This depends on how much tax you pay. The Revenue Commissioners allow the person(s) paying for care in the home to greatly reduce the cost of care by allowing them claim Tax Relief at their marginal rate of tax (either 20% or 40%). You can claim tax relief monthly through your salary or wages or at the end of the tax year. If you are not paying tax or working, you can claim money back through a member of your family. When you contact Clannad Care, you will speak directly to one of our experienced staff. They will spend time with you discussing your needs and with your agreement, they then will set up a care plan to meet your individual requirements. This plan can be altered by you at any time to accommodate any changes you may require. - How do I know if my loved one needs homecare services?
Determining if your loved one requires homecare services depends on their individual needs and circumstances. Signs that may indicate a need for homecare include difficulty with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, forgetfulness or confusion, frequent falls or accidents and social isolation. If you’re unsure whether homecare is appropriate for your loved one, our team at Clannad Care can conduct a complimentary assessment to evaluate their needs and recommend the best course of action.

- Can I get last minute/ emergency staff as a new healthcare client?
Our ethos is to provide a streamlined process for all new and existing clients when seeking healthcare staff to book for shifts. This means whether you need to cover a last-minute shift cancellation or cover shifts for the foreseeable future, we can assist you.
- What type of staffing do you provide?
We provide staff on a temporary or permanent basis. Positions we cover include Healthcare Assistants, Nurses, Midwives and more. - Are you HSE-approved?
