Loneliness can be debilitating and can Caring for a family member or loved one requires commitment and time and at Clannad Care we understand that at times life’s demands means that you need a break. We provide relief care services, either in the absence of your care or that of a primary carer. This care can be arranged at relatively short notice, and for a period of time that suits you.

What is Overnight/Relief care?

Caring for a family member or loved one can be tiring and we understand that from time to time you will need a break. Our overnight/relief care services are very flexible and can be arranged at short notice. Our team will work with you to determine the level of care required and the period of time it is required for.

An overnight care package can be a lifeline for spouses and family carers who need respite from what can be a very tiring night time routine. You can be rest assured that there is expert care at hand to assist your loved one in all eventualities.

Benefits of Overnight/Relief Care

Our overnight carer can carry out various tasks including preparing a light meal, assisting with medication, undressing and changing into night clothes and assisting with nightly hygiene routine and make sure your loved one is comfortable in bed. Our carer will then be on hand to assist throughout the night when required.

In the morning the carer can assist with toileting, personal hygiene, dressing and preparing breakfast. They can also carry out light household duties.
