Tax Relief & Rates

The Revenue Commissioners allow the person(s) paying for care in the home to greatly reduce the cost of care by allowing them claim Tax Relief at their marginal rate of tax (either 20% or 40%). How Can I Claim Tax Relief?

Tax relief can be claimed by completing Revenue’s Form HK1 – Claim for an Allowance for Employing a Carer. The form is available for download below or from Revenue’s website by following the attached link – HK1
